Grammie, Grandpa and Jozie

Jozalyn and I made an unexpected trip to Idaho for my grandpa's funeral. It was a bittersweet time, but it was great to get to see my parents and the rest of my family! Living so far away it is hard to get my kids (when they are younger) to get aquainted with my parents (as well as Brett's parents) because every time we see then the reset button has been pushed. She did really well though after she got a chance to get warmed up! They love her so much and she loved having constant spoiling attention! She espcailly loved the cabinets without the child safety locks, as you can see! Of course Braxton was missed like crazy! I had never been away from my little guy for so long, so it was hard, but a joyious reunion and lots of phone calls!

Seattle temple and Tinas wedding

We thought we better take advantage of some photo opportunities on the temple grounds. Christina's wedding was so beautiful in Seattle. We flew to Phoenix, then Seattle, drove to Yakima and then back on a flight to Phoenix where we stayed for a few weeks over Brett's break and his birthday! Then in the midst of that all my Pa (see below post) passed away so Jozalyn and I went to Idaho. Way too much!!!! All I have to say is it is good to be home.

Jack McGarry

A bittersweet day for our family. My Pa, as we called him, passed away this morning of natural causes at the age of 86. I have many fond memories of him. He was the kindest, most gentle, and humble rancher man you will ever know. He took care of his family and loved them dearly. I remember riding with him and doing the chores at the ranch. We would always enjoy a bowl of maple nut ice cream together when I was fortunate enough to get to stay with them. He was an shining example of a selfless gentleman, and had a love for those around him that had no bounds. I only wish my children could have known him the way that I did. I can only imagine his sweet reunion with his sweetheart, Marva (Ma, who has been gone for 6 years), all of his siblings and parents.
I will miss you PA, but only, "Happy trails," are ahead of you now.

Congrats Christina and Josh!!!

What a wonderful day for my sister in law Christina and her now hubby Josh! We had quite the time in Seattle and Yakima (Brett's old stomping grounds)! The temple was beautiful as was the bride!!!!! It was so very special to have all of Brett's sibling's and there spouses, his parents, grandparents, GIGI and all of the many aunts and uncles that traveled far to attend this great day! What a wonderful thing to be a part of. We loved seeing everyone! Pictures to come.
