One of my favorite holidays where we celebrate our independence! We had a great day, with a fabulous parade, even Brett liked, then fun with friends, and a great night out at Joe's. To top it off we had a great display of fireworks! This was the first year that Brax really enjoyed himself. He loved the parade and was so thrilled and bewildered at the same time as to why all of these people where just giving him candy and great things, so much for the, "don't take candy from stangers!" We wake up and went to the best park ever with our great friends Megan and Jeremy. We went out on the lake boating and played in the, "fountain playground," and the sandy beach and of course had a pic nic, it was great! Then went home and crashed after a pizza party. Then Sunday came church and yet another BBQ, which was an all day affiar, but we had to wait til' it got dark to roast smores (thanks Stacie and Charly)! Thanks Jim (and Kim) for the greatest smoked ribs ever! Anyway, it was a busy fun, fabulous weekend!

Balloon fest/fair
We do this every year and it is tons of fun there are tons of hot air balloons flying giving the night its glow! It is set up like a fair, the smells I love! This year Brax is finally tall enough to ride the rides by himself, WOW, and so he did! He was so chill, but really loved it! The rides just don't compare to Dad's rollacosters. Anyway, ealier that day we went to a party at Tony's house (thanks Tony, you are awesome), and they have a pond where Brax went out on a boat and caught his first fish! A little one took the bait and then as Brax is reeling it in, he keeps saying, "whoa Daddy, whoa, this is a monster fish," and then as it was approaching the surface a big fish took the small one still on the hook as its bait! What a thrill for my big guy. He kept telling the story throughout the day, he was stoked! Now it is time for professional fisherman uncle and grandpa to take him! It was a rainy yucky day, but wait a few minutes then it was hot and humid, so needless to say we had to take a small detour to the outlets to buy some shorts(bummer, ha)! Here are just a few pics of a funfilled day at the festival.

My Dad, my hero!
My Dad is amazing, he has taught me so many things and has always been there helping me and leading me. He has always taken care of his family and what a wonderful provider and friend he is! Thank you Dad for all that you have done and continue to do for me!

The best Dad to infinity and beyond!

Words cannot express the absoute greatness of my husband, the worlds most wonderful Dad to infiniti and beyond (Braxton's latest obsession Buzz Lightyear). Our children are the luckiest kids in world to have Brett for their Dad. He is not only their Dad, but their best friend. He is someone who does anything and I mean anything for his family and for his children especially. Nothing is more important to him than spending time with them, helping them, and teaching them to choose the right. He is sooooooo great! I love you so very much, not only is he our kids best friend, but he is mine and I was here first!

Too much?
We had some friends for dinner the other day and in conversation she said, "you sure have a lot of projects going at the same time." I thought to myself, yes I do, I need to be better about finishing one before I start the other.
So first Brett and I put in hardwood floors in our kitchen and dining room, and boy that was a lot of work (mostly for Brett, thanks babe you are the bomb!)
Before (after ripping up carpet and linolium)
After
I then took on finishing Jozalyn's room, I was waiting for some floral inspiration as all artist's do, ha, ha and I got it! So then I began to finish her flowered room! I have several of these beautiful canvas' and then painted the same flowers all over the walls. It is so bright and cheerful!
At the same time I wanted to landscape our front yard, so after a couple of weeks it is complete. You never realize how much time projects take until you don't have it to complete them as timely as you would have hoped!
And now we are adding onto the play structure, so again I say.... TOO MUCH, with a smile!

Swimming lessons
Brax and Joz both got swimming lessons this last week, big thanks to Telia an excellent instructer! It was quite the task to have both, but so much fun!
Brax's best buddy, Hyrum was in his class here they are on the diving board!
Here is Brax playing on a very hot humid day in what else but nothing! We are adding onto our play structure, so it will be one giant play gym complete with two slides, a merry-go-round, two ropes, and two little houses, one for each kiddo, a slight overkill, but hey they are only little once!
